Senior Citizen in Detroit Victim of Hate

Just a few days ago, news quickly spread of an inspirational story where a group of senior citizens fended off attackers in the coastal town of Limon, Costa Rica.  The story was encouraging to those of us anxious for a story where the good guy comes out ahead.

An elderly woman and her little grandson, whose face was sprinkled with bright red freckles, spent the afternoon at the zoo.  Lots of children were waiting in a line to get their cheeks painted by a local artist who was decorating them with pictures of assorted zoo animals.  “You’ve got so many freckles, there’s no place to paint,” a little girl standing in line said to the little boy.  Embarrassed, the little boy dropped his head in shame.

Stolen Meals-on-Wheels Truck Found

senior-meals.jpgEarly Monday morning, just as a Meals-on-Wheels driver in the Houston area was beginning to deliver hot food to home-bound seniors, someone stole his truck. The driver just walked out of the North Harris County apartment building where a delivery was being made, and the truck was gone!
