At a recent friendly gathering, conversation somehow drifted to the subject of dating.  Having been out of the dating scene since pizza and a movie for two ran around ten bucks, curiosity definately had me paying attention. 

It’s always a beautiful sight to wake up in the early morning and peer outside your window to view the marvels of a newly-fallen, powdery white landscape.  Especially as a child.  Broken power lines, bursted water pipes, or fallen trees don’t even warrant a moment’s thought to the little ones eager to scurry out into their wintery playground.  Not only are children immune to the economic concerns of a winter storm, but it appears they may also have somewhat of a health advantage as well.

Nine Health No-No’s for Baby Boomers
In a recent Forbes.com article, there was a list, along with cutesy pictures, referencing nine mistakes that aging boomers often make that could affect their health.  With some rewording, here is that list of NINE:

We’ve all heard the Mark Twain quote, “Of all the things I’ve lost, I miss my mind the most.” But humorous as this may seem, the reality of it is that as we age our cognitive functioning will decline in varying degrees.

With age, it is quite common to increasingly struggle with trying to recall a once familiar name that now always seems to be right beyond memory’s reach or to feel the frustration of trying to, as my dad used to say, “think fast”. Sometimes it feels like we’re an old 45, and someone’s lowered the rpm to 33.
